First Light Samoyeds

All the puppies are now with their new families. Here are pix from their "pick up day".

Another busy week...lots of playing and growing and learning. On Cylinder Day the puppies played with things like empty soda bottles in different sizes (some with uncooked pasta inside to make a nice sound), pvc pipe pieces and toys like dumbells and kongs. Inside puppy playtimes (outside of the pen) are getting wild and crazy! Excuse the messy floor in the pix please...the wood pellet "litter" makes sawdust and gets tracked or thrown by a digging puppy all over!! Kiska is losing her coat in clumps these days due to weaning, so vaccuuming is a never ending chore!

What a fun week! They are lots of fun (and work) at this age. Personalities are still developing. We had Ball Day once our Petedge order arrived! Big balls, small balls, plush and rubber balls, some soft, some hard, smooth ones,bumpy ones...you name it, they had it. And what fun they had with all the balls! On Easter Sunday afternoon, the puppies had their first adventures outside. That's always fun! Lots to discover and smell and chew on!

Week 5 finds the puppies in the puppy pen out in the living room where all the action is! Lots of new sights, sounds and smells. New flooring to walk on and the big dogs can interact through the wire pen. We also had the buyers here to visit the weekend the pups turned 5 weeks old. Orange is no longer he biggest and Teal is only the smallest by 1 tiny ounce!!

Week 4 brought us many escapees, more space and new food. Since everyone wanted out of the box, we set up an ex-pen around the enterance so they could come and go and have little more room. Next week they will be in the bigger puppy pen in the livingroom. At about 3 1/2 wks. they were showing interest in Kiska's food, so it was time for their first taste of "puppy mush"..yummy! Not many candids this week..I spent too much time trying to get a video uploaded to no avail...yet.

Candids from their 3rd week and their individual 3 week photos. They are up and walking, have top teeth and have had their first nail trim. Personalities continue to emerge and they like snuggling!

My how they grow and change each day! They are bigger, stronger and louder already.
